On a train in 2018, Suman and Cecil found themselves just one stop away from a concert they were both going to. Fuelled by their shared love for music, they started playing casual acoustic sets at pubs on the Isle of Dogs in London.

At an impromptu gig, the night before a festival in 2022, Lex joining up with the duo proved to be a key turning point in the musical journey and the group quickly began collaborating and writing songs.

In 2023, Nishant attended a local OSA gig and soon after joined the band, spurring the evolution into a full rock lineup along with the introduction of Ciaran and Sam in 2024 and Ruthu in 2025.

Having members from a diverse background inspires OSA’s music to blend influences brought from British, Indian and American indie/alternative/pop roots across different musical eras.

The band's intention is clear: to create fun, modern music with an old-school vibe and catchy melodies.
